Pros

Some of my co workers are some of the best human beings I’ve ever met , both professionally and personally . They all have a high bar of delivering excellence.

Cons

Honestly I’m not sure where to begin . The Pay is very low in comparison to similar roles for the same job that we do . They will ask you to take more work on top of the mountain load you already have, and expect you to get it all done . If not you will get written up or placed on a PIP. No one in the company has survived a PIP. Not one. Management team uses the people below them to be able to help them get their own job done . No credit is ever given and they do NOT promote within . They will also lie to you and dangle a cherry in front of your face to get you to stay longer, none of it is ever true and they have lost amazing talented people on this fact alone . They are more focused on petty things like creating a seating chart when it was not necessary instead of focusing how we may better serve our clients and boost team morale . No one ever knows what’s going on , I mean this truly . If there is a change or an update management team will look like a cast member from the show LOST. I use to love this company but the new management team and new changes that aren’t even on the employee manual or your own contract have changed the company within and chased qualified people away . I must also add that we cannot voice any of these concerns during meetings or to HR. You will find yourself to be mysteriously written up. I’m happy I was able to find a job that truly appreciated my talents because this place has gone downhill .

Pros

Senior managers are really good at making jokes.

Cons

Long hours, if you’re a manager you will be working 14-16 hour days physically on site. Then you will go home and work for another 2 hours. As the operations manager you will be expected to run the entire building (consisting of 6 departments) by yourself while the senior managers sit in their office sending you DMs about updates that they could easily grab themselves. Simultaneously you will also be expected to turn in reports and audits that they themselves never did when being OMs. You will never have support or transparent coaching and they’re solution is to put you on action plans when they feel pressure from the GM. On the surface they will make you feel like you are doing a good job and tell you that you ran a good shift but behind the scenes they will look for ways to terminate you. The unlimited PTO is a scam because often they will cancel vacations and you will never be able to take more than 2 weeks a year. Your job will be threatened constantly and often they will joke about how much they want to fire you to your face. You will receive threats about your job via email whenever senior management is frustrated as well. Going above and beyond means nothing to this company so don’t expect any recognition and it is strongly advised against volunteering to work extra since it will not be recognized. If you have any ideas, make sure you watermark or have proof that the idea was yours because the senior managers will take credit for it. There’s no arguing since the egos on this team is so big that nothing you say will ever be right. If you are considering taking this job make sure you have a backup since I guarantee you will not want to be there longer than 6 months. A lot of shady things go on behind the scenes as well. Such as managers in relationships with associate, and managers taking things from a “donation” box to turn personal profits.
