Used to be great.

Pros

There are a lot of great people working there.

Cons

They used to have a great culture, but new leadership has totally ruined things. In the past, the focus was on customers and employees and now it is just about trying to make as much money as possible. People used to work so well together and now there is a lack of trust and respect.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We know that we’ve experienced a lot of change and growth as an organization over the past couple years, and it’s come with some challenges. Though we’re continuing to evolve as a company, some of the values we strive to uphold are being customer and people-oriented, and trusting one another as we work towards the common goal of serving our customers. Culture has always been central to who we are as an organization, and as SimplePractice continues to work towards meeting our bold vision for the health and wellness industry, we continue to focus on how to best support, communicate, and nurture a culture that allows us to be our best and do our best. That said, we acknowledge that it's not always easy to navigate change and there may be times when we don't get it just right. That’s why we offer multiple channels for our team to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences with us to help us do better. We appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you the best of luck on your career.

Pros

- Amazing team. Depending on which subgroup your in, and your team lead, micromanagement is non existent. Always given the opportunity to provide feedback and improve current processes. Radical candor, direct feedback, and transparency valued once, however, things have changed. Hoping we’ll get back there again, to the SP Culture that we preach, - Good benefits with flexible time off - Pay is fair at best and by no means “above market”. - company does seem to care about work life balance and mental health as they provide ”wellness days” - management generally tries to do the right thing. They say the right things at least, (still waiting to see if they follow thru)

Cons

- lack of transparency from management - poorly executed pricing increase - Dog policy is listed is incorrect, Dogs are NOT allowed in office, and was told this will not change. - Pay is a bit low for the area, especially with cost of living in LA increasing . To put it in perspective, when you first started. I easily qualified for low income section 8 housing. Not a whole lot has changed Less and less mobility, internal transfer is getting much harder. Will make promises, the. Change their mind and pass you up with no explanation or feedback. After hearing about a few solid folks getting being blindsided and fired, can’t say I feel job security is there.

Pros

There was a time -2019-2020 - when the company was great to work for and it really felt like you were helping mental health professionals help clients and make the world a better place. In addition, the “front line” workers are amazing people and extremely hard workers. I learned so much by working alongside them.

Cons

Everything is a lie. They will tell you to provide feedback, but hold it against you. In fact, I know that “anonymous” hr visits and eNPS surveys are not really anonymous and are used by the company to weed out detractors. They prefer restructure after restructure and expect everyone to be cool with double or six times the work with no pay bump or title change. They keep things secret and lie to staff and customers about cost changes, acquisitions and outsourcing, while claiming they are looking “to build customer trust” and claiming that “trust” is a huge cultural value they support. I am actually surprised that only with the recent massive layoffs is the truth coming out finally. AMAs with leadership are for show and just to say they have them. The message and action items never change: they are always- just definitely looking into the complex situation, to make sure to accommodate all parties…. For 6 years…

Thank you for your candid review. We genuinely care about team member feedback and continuously take action on it. We have channels for anonymous, non-anonymous, and confidential feedback. We are sorry your experience didn’t align with that. Thank you for spending 5 years of your career with us. Good luck in your next chapter.
