Riding the Solar Coaster to a Family Environment
Pros
Strong Team work family atmosphere. I have been with Soligent for over 8 years will be 9 years in December. I started in the Warehouse as a Picker and have moved myself through the ranks on the Soligent Supply Chain, from Buyer to Senior Buyer, then Senior Planner then Category Manager. I was even Interim Supply Chain Manager for a year. This is 1 big positive that Soligent has given me is the opportunity to Grow. They have given me the flexibility to set process, procedures and make each position my own. The best thing they did for me was saw an Asset they didn't want to lose and offered me a way to keep my position even-though I was moving out of state. I also love how this shows the pride to promote within the organization.
Cons
So reading all the above, it has not been all sunshine (solar pun) and lollipops. Over these 8+ years we have gone through many growing pains and challenges. Over this time we definitely had miss highers in Management and Executive team levels that lead to times where there was a lot of internal division. Some of this has helped make the stronger bond with my teammates and appreciate what others in their departments have gone through. We lost some really good employees that I still have great bonds with. I only wished those peers were able to experience today's atmosphere. I think this long road has led us to that family feeling I stated as those of us who have been here for long enough have gone through a lot together to only come out closer on the other side.
