Pros

Management are Pretending they are doing their jobs . Meeting after meeting with CEO of the company . If you want to grow within a company do not work here . nothing good about the culture of the company .

Cons

They gossip behind their clients . They gossip behind their employers . It feels like you are at high school . Do not value your output snd your ideas . Or appreciate your work habit . Both locations in San Francisco and Los Angeles management will not value your work .

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I very am sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience working for STARK. We have learned that someone's local experiences with their team and manager are more impactful on their experience than anything else. This learning helped us prioritize more Team Building activities and Leadership Training for managers in all departments around the country. If you would like to discuss the specific issues you experienced in greater detail, please reach out to me directly at cstark@starkcarpet.com to continue the conversation. Best, Chad Stark CEO

Pros

The environment is busy and fast-paced. It's ever-changing so you never feel bored, and there's tons to learn.

Cons

I was hired as a floater and promoted within two days. I was thrilled because I wanted a work "home" and a place to grow. Within the first month of my employment, I became very ill and needed to go to the hospital. I got doctor's notes to be certain I was covered, spoke to my boss about the fact that I enjoyed the job and was sorry for the timing and inconvenience of my sickness. I was fired over the phone the night I returned home from the hospital. I don't think I need to go into detail about how that made me feel as an employee who worked hard and learned all I could in my time at Stark.

Thank you for leaving your comments. When you were hired, we hoped and expected that you would have a long and successful career with STARK. However sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. Reaching the decision to let you go was not made lightly. However under the circumstances it was the right one. In all fairness, what you wrote is not an accurate depiction of the events leading up to your departure. Over the period of four weeks (the length of your employment) you provided your Manager with one doctor’s note and that absence was not a problem at all. It was all the other times you were absent without a legitimate excuse or routinely left your workstation for extended periods of time without a word to your Manager that proved to be problematic. While It is unfortunate that it didn’t work out for you here, we do wish you much success and happiness on the path you choose going forward.

Hello, I personally apologize on behalf of STARK that you felt you were not properly supported with training and guidance during your onboarding experience. We strive to give every new team member a positive initial experience, yet we realize sometimes we fall short, especially this year as we’ve increase our number of employees by 60+. Ensuring we give new hires the tools necessary to succeed from day one is a top company priority, and we have recently moved 3 people into the sales organization to focus on sales training specifically. In addition, our new sales onboarding program only accepts 15 people per quarter in order to ensure a personalized experience, so I’m hoping you were able to join that. Lastly, we are recruiting a new HR team member focused on Employee Experience, who is working with all hiring managers to submit a thoughtful, comprehensive, and documented onboarding plan to HR before any new recruiting starts or offers extended. I offer all of this in the hopes to show that we take this feedback extremely seriously and are investing to ensure these experiences never occur. Please feel free to e-mail me at cstark@starkcarpet.com or our HR team more specifics so we can address this with the hiring manager, so they can get the training needed to avoid situations like this in the future. Sincerely, Chad Stark CEO
