Hello, Thank you for your feedback. To provide some context: while there is always room for improvement in retaining our team members, our turnover rate has been steadily trending downward and is currently at its lowest point in the last 12 months. We have invested in development initiatives that set our team members up for sustained success in their career paths. Growth opportunities are always there for STARKies with a Next Level approach and demonstrated success! I am sorry to hear about the negative aspects of your experience with STARK. We have learned that someone's local experiences with their team and manager are more impactful on their experience than anything else. This year, we have placed significant emphasis on Leadership Training for managers in all departments around the country, and will continue to do so. If you would like to discuss the specific issues you experiencing in greater detail, please reach out to me directly at cstark@starkcarpet.com and/or our HR team (HR@starkcarpet.com) to continue the conversation. Sincerely, Chad Stark CEO

Pros

CEO (Chad) wants to make a real difference to change the culture and make it a great place to work.

Cons

Mid-level management makes it hard to advance your career Upper management talks down to their employees, teases, and can be discouraging in front of other employees Chaotic and unorganized at times Office can be toxic and negative Outdated technology Poor training program Management plays favorites and support is underpaid, overlooked, and overworked

Hello Thank you for leaving this review. I'm sorry that your experience at STARK was chaotic and stressful. This year has been full of many challenges both personally and professionally for almost all of us. No doubt we sometimes felt like we were building the plane while flying it. We have continued to prioritize employee feedback to inform our business decisions, and we have heard that people can feel stretched thin. To address this, we are working to narrow our focus by defining our "essential intent" that will act as the framework within which to review projects. It is a challenge to "avoid the shiny object" of new and exiting things but the undisciplined pursuit of more creates chaos and stress. Our challenge now is to better identify what is most important and say "no" to other projects that are less important to keep everyone's workload more manageable. Based on our last anonymous employee survey, our employees seem to be feeling the benefits of focusing on fewer things. This, along with continued sales and leadership training to support career development and increased investments in technology like our new CRM and web tools, marketing, and warehousing will be our largest areas of spend moving into 2021. If you would like to provide any additional feedback or continue the dialogue, please email me directly at cstark@starkcarpet.com. Chad Stark CEO

Pros

STARK Carpet is going through a major growth period focused on developing and improving team members. Senior Management is very hands on and optimistic about the growth of the company which has been amazing to be a part of. One of the biggest pro's working at STARK is definitely the people and culture.

Cons

Since the company is going through a period of growth and change, some of the procedures put into place may shift as the company continues to adapt. New hires should be able to adapt to change and feel comfortable voicing their opinions.
