Good place to start career

Pros

Great place to kick off your career and learn; Also a great place to work if you have no huge career ambitions and are okay doing the same thing year after year. If you are a parent and have a spouse who works FT, they are flexible w/ working from home so you can be home a lot w/ your kid.

Cons

Company has plateaued. If you're looking for somewhere with career growth, this is probably not the best place. They are constantly trying to think of new ways to fix their business model without actually fixing anything.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with us. We have a great team but aren't right for everyone. I hope that you've found a great new home. The good news is that we see a lot of growth opportunities on the horizon. If you have any more feedback for how we can improve, let me know at g.zumas@studypoint.com. Flexible, but with low pay.

Pros

I am able to create my own schedule with students and have a reasonable amount of freedom to structure lessons as I see fit. My students are wonderful and working from home is pretty appealing. It's easy to work for PrepNow on top of a full-time job. Salaried positions with the corporate office are often given to qualified tutors, so there is opportunity for growth within the company. StudyPoint recognizes and praises good tutors, so you feel valued.

Cons

The pay is truly terrible. Most tutoring companies pay at least twice as much hourly for SAT tutoring. However, they don't have the option of working online from home and going to a student's home is higher impact work. That said, there is really just no reason to take this job if you have very high test scores and experience UNLESS you just really can't deal with the idea of leaving your house.

Pros

Super-helpful and friendly staff. Every tutor has a manager/mentor. So, you know who to contact with any performance questions, or reviews

Cons

I was looking for a lot more students/hours per week than they were able to get for me. They do not have access to as many subjects (esp. college level) as some of the other online platforms. Focus is primarily high-school and placement test prep.
