Pros

When it comes to a fun (yet professional), engaging, supportive environment, StudyPoint sets the bar. My colleagues are caring, kind and always willing to help. The co-founders, Rich Enos and Greg Zumas truly care about their employees and their company and all decisions are made with the company AND employees in mind. Communication is a strength of StudyPoint; employees know what is happening with budgets, metrics, goals, decisions, project progress, etc. on a daily basis. Managers have open door policies and are always open to feedback. StudyPoint is always trying to grow and progress and it's exciting to be a part of these new changes.

Cons

For some roles, there are work-from-home options. While this works very well for me, some people need face-to-face interaction with managers and fellow employees.

Pros

StudyPoint offers a great curriculum that works, and trains tutors well. You set your own hours and territory, and they find you families to work for. The supports they offer to tutors are excellent, including a Program Manager who always has your back and an experienced tutor to answer questions you have when you're first starting out. Also, if you're qualified to tutor more than SAT and ACT prep, you get the opportunity to tutor other things -- which gives you a nice variety of tutoring experiences. Most of the families are excellent to work for. If you arrive prepared and are professional, they really appreciate you. Also, the company is very good to its employees. The work culture is excellent.

Cons

No pay for prep time. This is hardest when you're first starting as a tutor, because you have to invest a lot of time to learn the curriculum. It improves the longer you stay with the company, but every time the SAT or ACT changes, you have a lot of prep to do all over again.

Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience. Our Program Managers are the best in the business, as are our veteran tutor mentors. We have discussed at length how to help our team of tutors - especially tutors new to our curricula - feel confident going into each lesson. Our paid training is a benefit many other companies don't have. But that doesn't change the fact that prep time for each lesson can add up. I will work with our Academics Team on this more. Thanks for the input. -Greg Co-Founder & President

Thank you for the input. Our career pathing is something we have worked hard on but have lots of room to improve. As a small company we always first look internally for promotions, and if the fit isn't right we look for outside talent. Best, Greg Co-Founder & President
