Pros

Definitely a great experience with a lot of support from admin! They provide you with resources if necessary as a teaching aid. Very flexible.

Cons

Pay could be a bit higher.

Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it very much. Currently we are working on a better process to compensate tutors for the work that each of you do. Stay tuned. Best, Greg President & Co-Founder

Okay, just not great

Pros

Flexible paid online training. The company provides all materials and assigns students so there's no marketing on the tutor's part. Good program managers to work with. I liked having a mentor tutor. Great experience working with students which is the most important part.

Cons

The pay does not take into consideration all the prep work and travel time. For instance, if I called a program manager with a question about a student and the call ended up lasting 30 minutes, that is unpaid work for a non-salaried tutor. The materials would change (updated materials in itself is a good thing) so that I feel I had to learn all new material over again on my own time.

Not bad as a part-time job

Pros

You have flexibility in deciding how much you want to work. Not bad if you're looking for a temporary gig.

Cons

There's not much support. Once you're up and running you're basically on your own. The pay is very low when you consider how much time you have to put in for travel, prep, administrative duties. All things considered, you're probably not making more than $15 per hour.

Thank you for the feedback! Our program managers are there to support our tutors once they complete training and start working with students, and over the past couple of years we put in place a tutor mentor program that pairs new and veteran tutors, but it's helpful to know we could do more to support our new tutors. I will share this feedback with our team. Best, Greg President & Co-Founder
