A Solid Choice for Tutoring

Pros

The flexibility of being able to make my own schedule. The pay is okay, not great, but I like not having to market myself for new students. Also, once you are experienced there are opportunities to grow within the company, be it taking a full-time role, becoming a mentor tutor, or interviewing potential tutors. StudyPoint also allows you to continue tutoring independently, which similar companies often do not allow.

Cons

Sometimes you may be asked to travel farther than you set up your area - if so you should ask for travel compensation. Tutoring availability can really depend on your area and the time of year - if you are in an area that StudyPoint doesn't have as much prevalence in you will have trouble getting students.

Though we do our best to set appropriate expectations around hours, this can sometimes be challenging given the various factors that impact assignments (subject, location, scheduling needs, student's specific needs, etc.).
