- Management overall is a mess. Some of the senior people seem to be more interested in how they ‘appear’ to staff than to actually get work done or to bring in work to grow the company. Some people come off like they want to be seen as important/capable, even though they are not.
- Federal contracting has slowed down and company growth has slowed down with it.
- If you are on a large project sometimes it is hard to get access to other, more interesting work.
- Anthony, of the other partners, to be perfectly honest, comes across as kind of creepy. He once suggested the company have a pool party at his corporate apartment building… True story.
- Work can pile up and therefore over time and weekend work can be expected at times.
Overall, if you are just starting out Summit is a great place to build the foundation of an analytical career. If you can manage it, work for Albert, he is great. My only recommendation is to learn what you can and then move on.
