Pros

The benefits are decent. They organize bbq and group events which is nice. Folks are friendly for the most part.

Cons

Are you qualified? Well, it doesn't matter unless you're related. Want a raise? Not unless you're related. Lots of talk about company culture being important, but it really means that being related to upper management is more important than competency. Unless you're a family member, this is not a good place for moving up.

Senior executives are slow to change. Very outdated branding and marketing capabilities. Many high quality and talented employees leave after a few years.

Corporate environment hidden in a smaller business operation Mixture of younger college educated construction engineering and management types creates an energetic work environment Provides plenty of opportunity to take on more responsibilities and tasks Work methods are traditional although innovation or thinking outside the box is encouraged

Cons

Plenty of corporate guidelines and structure to create a lot of work Core value of 'integrity' is compromised more and more Core value of 'innovation' does not thrive in the current work environment Plenty of management to do a cursory periodic review of your work but not much help or guidance to handle critical issues
