- There are plenty of great co-workers that make it an engaging place to work. - Plenty of opportunities to mingle with co-workers in different departments. - Opportunities to transfer to other departments are plentiful - Longevity is rewarded

Cons

- Opportunities to advance are lacking, unless you want to wait 3+ years - Lack of regard for workload. If you're assigned something and you're overwhelmed, you're expected to complete it regardless of time constraints - The training process needs improvement. - The initial compensation level should be reviewed. I noticed plenty of employees taking multiple jobs to make ends meet.

Stocks, benefits, partying with peers.

Cons

Stocks .... only if you are voted in though. I've known a PM that it took over 15 years for her to be a shareholder while a young PE joins the company and he's already a shareholder. Also, you're replaceable and they will make you feel it. You can never feel secure in keeping a job here. DIVERSITY IS RARE.

Pros

The have SOME smart people working for them.

Cons

The Sacramento office is completely dysfunctional. They can't win jobs, subs won't bid their work, owners don't prefer them as their first choice contractor and employees will backstab you just to save their job. The sell themselves as an employee owned company, however most of the company is owned by a handful of select people.
