Pros

- You will work with some of the nicest people around and make great friends - Your team will be supportive and help you find the answers you need - You can rely on your team members to vent when dealing with difficult customers - You will not feel alone when you are struggling, your team will be there for you - Management will not bother you as long as you hit your upsell goal - Remote/ WFH culture - Health benefits were pretty good with Cigna, but premiums doubled for open enrollment for 2023 coverage - This is an okay first job if you're right out of college but don't stay longer than 6-8 months unless you want your mental health to suffer, great resume builder though.

Cons

- PatientPop was already struggling before the merger with Kareo, but after Dan took over it went straight downhill. They had massive layoffs in December, cutting about 20% of the company and they are running on a skeleton crew. Everyone has 3x the workload and they're completely burnt out. Even top executives weren't safe from the layoffs and a lot of big names in the company were let go. - Customer Success at this company is a joke, you're doing the job of 5 different departments and cleaning up the mess Sales created after they lie to customers to get them signed on. - Majority of the time you will be dealing with angry customers that want to cancel because Sales promised features that we do not have. Customers blow up on you once they realize they're stuck in a contract. - CS is severely underpaid, you can make almost double else where for less work and less stress. The only reason people stay is to build their resume and great coworkers. Turn over in CS is high, most leave after 6 months-1yr once they realize what a sh*t show it is here. - Management started to throw new initiatives on us, disguised as trainings but it was actually more work which doubled our work load. Everyone's metrics started to suffer and they still expected us to reach quota while doing double the work. They offered laughable spiffs as incentives for doing extra work but anyone will tell you they could care less about the money and would give anything to be less stressed. - The software itself is absolutely subpar, the company needs to focus on fixing the current product rather than selling empty promises to customers. - The quality of websites has greatly gone down since there aren't enough web designers or IMs and they have to churn things out fast which compromises on quality. - Customer support quality has gone down immensely since switching over to Costa Rica and now it's taking weeks, almost a month to get simple support tickets done. The customer support team in Costa Rica is super nice, but it's management's fault that mediocre work is being done, they need to invest in training them better.

Pros

Working fully remote is the only benefit. That being said, every tech company offers this, so this isn't really a selling point.

Cons

Tebra asks you to do things outside of your role expectations without updating your job description, title, or pay. The entire onboarding department just shifted to being client facing and after very professionally voicing our concerns in a department wide meeting, we got an email from the Director of Onboarding scolding us for doing so calling the concerns "unprofessional" and "inappropriate" The term mentioned by the employees that Tebra management is saying we are not allowed to use was "concerning to hear". I'm not sure how else to voice a concern using more professional verbiage than that. Tebra hides behind the use of "outsourcing a third party to find average pay rates within the industry" in an effort to underpay employees with no wiggle room for common sense. They only give raises/ title shifts once a year even though they've changed the role we are required to do during the year and refuse to properly update job titles/ job descriptions/ pay raises concurrently. When this concern was raised, the Director of Onboarding said that these are two separate issues however, when I am doing a job, it is my expectation to be paid accordingly for it. I have been at the company for 5+ years (previously PatientPop) and HR does not care about me nor anyone else who has been loyal to the company. A member of HR personally yelled at me in a zoom meeting telling me that I was "being paid fairly" even though the average rate for my role/ title/ job description in Santa Monica is approx $120k and they were paying me $60k at the time. The corporate feel of the company is something that really saddens me because prior to the merger, we (Patientpop) had an amazing company culture and I was a huge promoter for the company. In my most recent review, I was given a 3/5 which stands for "meets expectations." In the past 6 months, I have taken on multiple department wide projects that impacted multiple teams and single handedly tackled them without being asked and none of that was included in my job description. I specifically took on additional projects in an effort to recieve a higher mark on my performance reviews. When asked what I could do to improve, my manager let me know there was nothing I could be doing better and that I wasn't rated higher because HR doesn't want them to give anyone a '4-exceeds expectations' or a '5-strongly exceeds expectations'. This is so that when the yearly review cycle takes place, they can continue to underpay you and they have no reason to give you a bigger raise. At Tebra, you are just a number that they would happily replace instead of learning from their mistakes and hearing any sort of feedback. Entire teams are being fired to get replaced with offshore employees in an effort to pay less money. All the while, our customers are severely suffering and those of us who haven't yet been fired are left to pick up the pieces. Tech companies are a dime a dozen these days, and after working here for 5 years, it would be my strong recommendation to not waste your time and energy with Tebra.

Pros

Remote work and okay pay

Cons

The CEO is a bozo, upper executive leadership is full of bozos, the directors are bozos, the sales team is full of lying bozos, the customer success team is filled with incompetent bozos. I’ve never been part of a company with this many bozos. Hardly anyone in this company knows how the product actually works. They seem to have laid off anyone from the patientpop side that had any product competency. Seems like the only people who know what’s going on half the time and run a smooth ship are the IT team and business systems team.
