Pros

I'll let you know if any show up! You do get the opportunity to be lied to constantly about your bonus and career advancement opportunities. If you like to suck up to people to get ahead instead of having your work and accomplishments (multiple AOE winner) you will love it here! Upper management will take $1million dollar Sept/October payout but will explain why YOUR bonus was cut by 65-70%!!! If you enjoy these perks.. Terminix is the company for you!

Cons

Long Hours. Constant lies by upper management about opportunity. Explain for hours why "the rules changed and you are not getting your full payout" and then be told you have a "poor attitude!". Constant revolving door CEO and President. Only one person at the executive level has any pest control knowledge and the others do not care! Constant changing of priorities (except the one where executive management gets full pay outs) and always moving the goal posts for your money.

Pros

if you got the calls with the right customers who want to solve their problem and were ready to pay you could make decent money.

Cons

you are expected to run min 5 calls per day, then seek to find prospects to fill your schedule, the calls that get put on your schedule by the call center usually just want a free inspection. Management kept changing the incentive matrix. whatever service was in demand the incentive was low while whatever was not in demand the incentive was higher.

I am a long time employee of Terminix and have watched the constant erosion of the company's work environment for years. Terminix employees biggest obstacle to overcome is the company itself. Several new regime changes every couple of years brings more disconnect with the front line employees and its customers. A service company that will kick customers calls to far off lands like the Phillipines or other parts of the country with absolutely no knowledge of said customers or even that areas typical pest problems isn't exactly putting customer service first is it? Also usurping sales from its local salesforce by having these call centers SELL services without really knowing what they're talking about. Another great trick is the mastery of manipulating pay plans to the companies advantage. Understaffing local offices of management/operations people taxing those people time and responsibilities also a problem. I could go on but you get the idea. I noticed a lot of positive reviews coming from Branch Mangers, etc. Looks like spin control to me. What do you think?
