There are too many cons to list. In the interview you will be told there is "some Saturday work". This really means that you will work 6 days a week. The Work/Life balance here is absolutely atrocious. There is always a reason to have you work on Saturdays. In summer when it's busiest, you have "to get it while the getting is good". In the winter when it's slow, you have to "get out there and get everything you can". When you actually do get a Saturday off, management can decide that the numbers are too low, everyone needs to work, and revoke your day off with 24 hours notice. Besides the Saturdays you will also have to come in for "call session" at least twice a week. This means you will be at the office late calling current customers trying to put calls on your schedule for a slim chance at selling them something. Getting paid properly is a constant issue. Keeping track of your sales and commission is an absolute must. A good example is if you sell a job and get paid for it, then 5 or 6 months later the company decides to refund the customer, they will take back that commission on your next paycheck. Your pay is dependent on too many other people to do their jobs. There are a multitude of reasons that your pay can be incorrect: people hitting the wrong buttons on their computer, people applying your commission to other people, people just screwing up the job, people cancelling sales and giving customers free jobs, etc. If it wasn't my money, I would've found it comical. Every month it seemed they found new, and inventive, ways to screw up our paychecks. And what's worse, nobody cares. Most of the management only care about their bonuses. You will hear a lot of "I can't do anything about it", "It's out of my hands", or my personal favorite "it happens to all of us, deal with it". You are nothing but a number to this company, and it's blatantly obvious. This list could go on for days. Overall it's stressful, disorganized, and a horrible place to work.
