Pros

Comradary amongst my coworkers - wfh 1 day a week - they live to feed their people chik-fila

Cons

Their culture is annoyingly naive - everyone is soft - the promote within and consider people who didn’t come from the stores to be outsiders. Management feels like a punch of immature teens with chips on their shoulders.

Pros

Job attracts creative a fun individuals!

Cons

Management is incompetent, often scheduling 6-7 days in a row with a single day as a break before working you more. The job pays far too little to "disrupt the entertainment industry" The job operates more akin to a cult forcing you to memorize and recite its tenets within a month to keep the job. Despite the company acting like they are a huge deal, almost none of their systems work efficiently or effectively, not even to get into how often the games themselves are broken. They keep you going with promises that within just a few short years, YOU can be managing your own location where you can exploit your own employees with a sub livable wage for 70K a year. There are more competent and better escape rooms to work for, avoid this one like the plague it is.

Pros

It can be fun at times.

Cons

Management is a disaster. No one on the Management team has had any Business Management training and it really shows. Changes made over the last 6+ months have turned a streamlined system into a trainwreck. Just one of which is walkies for a couple people instead of a secure chat channel up on every computer to communicate game starts. If there aren't enough games booking, you may be told to go home early, repeatedly. Over and over. Again and again. Sometimes, even when games are booking they just decide they have too many people and send you home anyways. Repeatedly. Over and over. Again and again. You get the picture yet? This is not a reliable job. It's like a cult. You'll be asked to memorize the mission, vision and values of the company. Oh and you'll be quizzed at meetings, in newsletter signoffs, all sorts of things. A lot of the coworkers like to scare each other, sometimes on video. So just, beware. The listing I applied for listed $16/hr, but the starting pay was MUCH lower.
