Pros
Salary adequate for someone living in Louisiana. They will comp you for educational materials & certifications. Small teams. Weekly one on one's.
Cons
You're silo'd off with your team, not much interaction with team as a whole except for one meeting a week to sync up. The products you develop are hard to understand if you don't know a little about the construction industry. One on one's sometimes aren't productive. Louisiana is a fire at will state, and they can and will fire you with no reason, warning, performance improvement plan, or exit interview. You cannot advocate for yourself if you don't agree with something. It's looked at as causing trouble.
