Pros

Good pay and benefits, and my particular team/manager are great. Work life balance is pretty good in that I'm hardly ever expected to work outside my normal hours, though I've heard that varies from team to team.

Cons

Strict (and very unpopular) return to office of three days a week, even for people who don't work with anyone else at their location. Apparently they're going to try to jam even more people in offices, so we won't even have a cubicle of our own in the future. Pushing for adoption of gen AI tools rather than investing more in the less buzzy but more critical devops infrastructure that we actual need in order to be productive. And there have been layoffs recently.

Pros

Remote work available, tuition coverage

Cons

Micromanaging, no work life balance, benefits for mental health are no longer available, overworked, understaffed for certain shifts, poor leadership, no room for growth in the customer service field. pay does not match the job responsibilities. Certain departments were merged and doubled the jobs duties, but there was no pay or any sort of bonus for this. The company does not have any idea how to boost the morale of their employees especially the remote workers, but will breathe down our backs if we do not meet metrics and won't celebrate our achievements. Occasionally we will get an e-card, not to be confused with a gift card. We are basically told to do our job and be grateful that we are even getting paid. Nothing else is offered in this company. Just a lot of videos of talks that don't pertain to anyone except executives. I use to think highly of this company and now I'm actively searching for a company that truly appreciates their employees and treat them as though they add value to the company. That's isn't US Bank at all.

Souless company, toxic workplace

Pros

If you like toxic workplaces, having your career underminded by underhanded practices, creepy, manipulative, self-serving managers, being worked to the point of exhaustion, gaslighting and scapegoating, U.S. Bank is the place for you!

Cons

This company sets its employees up to fail then tries to scapegoat them for its own poor performance. They use underhanded practices to try to thin out their workforce. They work their employees to the point of burnout then try to gaslight them that they're underperforming. They will punt you around between different teams and products and managers so that you can never build up any momentum or feel any sense of security. They pretend to be compassionate and ethical, but they will punish you for taking time off to deal with medical and personal issues. They treat their hardworking employees like absolute garbage. They just don't care.
