Pros

Long hours not expected. Most colleagues are nice and helpful.

Cons

Gender discrimination results in women being held back while deceitful, irresponsible men get promotions. Return To Office policy was too sudden and will force a lot of working parents (i.e. mothers) to have to quit. (My childcare options evaporated post-covid.) Very low pay compared to other banks. Management keeps making poor decisions that alienate the strongest employees.

Pros

It’s really hard to get fired, they just won’t give you a merit raise.

Cons

No bonuses at all for anything. Senior leadership has admitted that U.S. Bank does not give any cost-of-living wage increases ever. They are strictly performance based, which is funny because they do not reward any bonuses based on performance. If you do amazing you can get maybe 3% merit. They also can not figure out how they want to rate performance and have changed things almost every year for at least the past 4 years.
