Pros

US Bank recently acquired MUFG Union Bank. While it was mostly for the branch network, they got a substantial and thriving wealth management business. They are working to integrate us into them. There is plenty of flexibility to implement customized solutions for clients.

Cons

Generally, legacy Union Bank employees are Head and shoulders above US Bank employees. The quality, care, ambition and client focus is un- matched by US Bank folks. Whether they adopt our best practices will determine the success of wealth management here in CA.

Pros

The pay was okay for the job.

Cons

I would not recommend anyone to work in there Service Center. The training is horrible and one screw up, you are out the door. The most insane part is, you are not aware of the screwup until they are terming you. Benefits are expensive. 401K is horrible. You have to accrue sick leave and that’s 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. You don’t accrue vacation until 4 months after hire date.

Pros

- full time remote - easy online banking / app - decent technology

Cons

- you are not allowed to disconnect from verbally abusive customers and, if you do, you can be fired - managers do not take live escalations despite procedures being in place for them to do so - there is no support from leadership and training is minimal - regardless of your job title, they can, will, and have move you from one position to another by calling it "upskilling" or to another department on the phones - once you start, your pay is determined by a grade and you cannot pass the "mid-point". raises will become smaller and smaller to avoid it. - despite reviews asking for how you performed outside of your "metrics", you will only be graded on them and your "merit raise" will be 0% - 3% - 5% - there are no bonuses and no cost of living increases
