Pros

- Good pay + bonuses and beneifts - Learn about military and earn a lot of knowledge in your field - Financially Stable company to work for. - Good ethics and integrity when it comes to business decisions - Executive Managment is top notch

Cons

- Very hard to move horizontally, if you start there in the front office or call center you tend to get trained on one skill, limiting your career development - Call center job has a long way out til your finally off the phone, expect to be on the phones for atleast 5 years. - Middle management can be inconsistent, you will get opportunities depending on where you are placed. - Front office jobs do not have much flexibility as they are dictated by the Call volumes.

Pros

One of the best call centers in the Valley to work for. Compared to some, you don't have to worry about layoffs or downsizing. The pay is pretty decent and the bonuses are nice. It's a big building with a good size fitness center and covered parking. The cleaning crew is pretty nice as well. They have company picnics and holiday parties.

Cons

Getting promoted is a trial by fire and sometimes is not WHAT you know but WHO you know. Forget trying to get a job in the IT area unless you are a temp if you already work at USAA. They only hire from within that area which I think is unfair. At the beginning of the year, upper management was talking up work from home. Now they are quietly sweeping it under the table. They also ticked off a lot of employees in the bank with a recent "optimization" which really caused major discord among employees. When Joe Robles came on board, he talked about the open door policy but many believe it's a myth as they fear repercussions from upper management.

Pros

The benefits are excellent and it's such a large company that you can experience many different things through your tenure.

Cons

Tons of red tape and bureaucracy - more so than at most companies of its size.
