Pros

You can make a decent income.

Cons

Passive aggressive management techniques. All through training one is told there is support and they understand it takes a while to get on your feet. After training the tone changes to do it, do it as I to do it, if you don't do you'll be fired.

Pros

This is a great company to work for or I wouldn't have stayed here for the last 20 years. The benefits package is hands down is fantastic and will take care of you and your family as it has mine. My co-workers are awesome as we are like a big family.

Cons

Can sometimes be hi-stress as it is the service industry.

Thank you for your review and your many years of service. It always gives us the “warm fuzzies” when our Team Partner’s get to experience the family atmosphere we are so proud of.

Pros

Everything is great in the first year - aka as your 'ramp up bonus'. Then, if you're a sales rep for UniFirst, get ready to get fired. If you actually make it through your first year, when I left I had seen at least 10 people or more get fired or quit for one reason or the other. Most likely because they put un-real expectations on you as a sales rep and do not encourage employment by a sales rep over a year. By that time you've not only paid for yourself, you've also added a lot to the RSR's route which they receive a commission on. There was poor service, poor comradery, poor management, poor service, etc from the branch where I worked. If you're looking for a company to grow with, unless you are willing to relocate geographically, then look elsewhere.

Cons

Where to start... At the end of the day, just about everything. It all starts and ends with the competency of your location manager. unrealistic expectations for tenured reps, extremely low vacation and sick time given, long days in your car, wear and tear on your car and your physical and mental well-being. Lying by management, poor service, poor everything. The worst part is that management knows from day one that you will most likely not make it there 52 weeks. If you do make it 52 weeks then you are expected to turn in 1 folder per week worth $110 every week.. If either of those cease to happen then you have NO chance in making it. If you are able to hit 1) bringing in a folder every week & 2) having the value average out at $110 / wk then you should go somewhere else.

Thank you for your feedback. We strongly believe in helping our Team Partners grow and it always saddens us whenever any UniFirst Team Partners feels that their experience in our organization is a negative one. Moving forward, we hope you’ve found a much better fit for yourself.
