Pros

- Pay is good. - Work culture used to be good. - Used to be relaxed. - Very flexible working from home policy.

Cons

- Company is being merged with UserTesting. Resulting in redundancies 👍 - New CEO cares more about numbers than people. - Making up to 94 UK employees redunant in the middle of a period of massive inflation, cost of living criss and potentally an upcoming recession. - Every single manager from the UserZoom side has either been demoted or fired. Very clear that this is UserTesting taking over and NOT a merger.

Good potential but poor management

Pros

- Flexible working: Remote working and flexibility generally available and understood across org - Strong sales presence across org: if you're looking to join as Sales, then this is a great company to join (good progression, lots of promotions, elevated profile, well resourced) - Friendly culture: some genuinely nice people. Some are good at their job, some less so. But generally good people. - Good at hiring: managers have done well sifting through candidates - Growing org: There aren't too many competitors in the UX space, and with increasing market demand, the org is growing at a healthy rate even during the pandemic - Fast paced: Most of the planning is very short sighted, so there's usually nice surprises and a variety of unexpected projects coming your way every few months to add variety in work

Cons

- Poor career progression outside sales: unwillingness to develop career roadmap or be considered for opportunities to progress. Managers also lack the skills to support teams in growing their skillset/careers. No career defining opportunities/roles - Overly sales-driven: Partially influenced by current investors (whose portfolio mainly include traditional sales-driven revenue models), but also leadership skillset and power imbalance within org. Many functions such as product, marketing, research services.. are often suppressed and inadequately supported - Poor leadership: lack strategy and very short sighted. There's a lot of talking around things and general weak management. Simply put, just a lack of skillset and experience to set the direction, develop plans, manage people, understand and respond to opportunities/challenges.... - Retaining talent: similar to most orgs, employees are not fairly valued and the general mentality is that it's easier to hire new. Many people leave after 1-2 years - Lack of transparency: Decisions made within closed circles, and generally poorly articulated to involved teams. Many decisions would come down authoritatively without explanations/context - Some juvenile behaviour across leadership: any small wins against competitors, especially UserTesting, are over-emphasised and hugely celebrated. If you worked at UT, expect a red carpet welcome
