Pros

A strong sense of camaraderie and supportive teamwork is a major highlight. Many long-tenured employees express that the team environment is a key reason for their longevity at the company. The paid time off policy is generous, and management is generally supportive of employees who need to take time for personal or medical emergencies. The management team often serves as a buffer between staff and senior leadership, which is a testament to their dedication to their direct reports. There are opportunities for professional growth and learning within the organization.

Cons

Senior leadership has a tendency to prioritize immediate results, which has led to frequent organizational changes, including team re-alignments, changes to sales territories, and staff reductions. There is a lack of consistency in company-wide policies and strategic direction. The company's structure has changed several times in recent history. Compensation, particularly within the sales department, is not competitive with current market rates. Leadership diversity appears to be an area for improvement. While there are procedures for reporting unprofessional conduct, the follow-through and resolution from human resources seem to be inconsistent.

Pros

Your fellow CSMs are fantastic, and there are still a handful of truly exceptional individuals in each department who’ve remained since UserTesting’s prime.

Cons

Leadership often lacks accountability, and major changes across product, personnel, and pricing are frequently implemented without sufficient consideration for customers or employees. Since going public, the company has experienced multiple rounds of layoffs. The culture is heavily sales-driven, with many sales leaders viewing other departments primarily as support functions rather than strategic partners. The influence of private equity ownership is strongly felt, reinforcing short-term priorities over long-term vision.

Pros

The product has market recognition, and some colleagues on the ground level are talented and well-intentioned. Fully remote setup allows flexibility in daily scheduling.

Cons

Zero Career Growth: Despite hitting or exceeding quota consistently year-over-year, there were no clear pathways for promotion or advancement. “No cap on commission” was repeatedly promised but quietly undermined—quotas were raised arbitrarily and accelerator percentages were slashed without notice. Not a Meritocracy: Performance doesn’t matter. Promotions were political and based on favoritism, not results. Sales reps who hit targets were pushed harder without meaningful reward. Deep Ethical Concerns: Senior leadership openly instructed reps to input fake pipeline numbers for their top accounts—essentially cooking the books to look better to private equity investors. This wasn't a misunderstanding; it was a deliberate, top-down directive. Toxic Culture & Racism: I experienced racist remarks from colleagues that were brushed off by management when reported. There is little to no accountability for behavior that violates basic standards of respect. Private Equity Destruction: Since the PE acquisition, the soul of the company has been gutted. Decisions are made solely for investor optics—not for the long-term health of the business or wellbeing of the employees. Morale tanked and turnover skyrocketed.
