Please don't work here, it's awful and getting worse
Pros
401k match was quite above average but vesting is extremely long Often times a lot of overtime was available PTO was slightly above average You might get to be involved in projects which will great on your resume
Cons
The work is brutal in operations. It's extremely metrics driven and it's all your manager will care about. You're not valued as an individual, only if you're meeting 100% adherence and efficiency. What makes it worse is the technology is awful because it's so old. Your computer will freeze and metrics will not reflect that which is not fair. Pay is very low, we were offered 40k a year to start which is awful if you have a bachelors degree. If you try to apply for a position in a different department you will literally compete with over a hundred other applicants and it's only going to get worse because outsourcing has recently started here. Working here is like being in a cult, if you criticize anything about Vanguard or act indifferent you will NOT get promoted or be respected. The only way you'll be able to move up is if you kiss lots of butts. Most of the employees in management are very young and don't know what they're doing. Coworkers were very miserable here and I felt awful for them. I roughed it out here for 3 years and got a higher paying and easier job at the first competitor I applied at. So if you work here please don't lose hope.
