Pros

There is nothing good - other than their in-house cafeteria.

Cons

According to the parent company Advent, this is a ghost town left only for geniuses or employee superstars.

Pros

Work with great people and important solutions.

Cons

No job security. Company is in a continuous state restructuring and layoffs, that will only get worse with the new management who does not understand the industry or the company. Sales staff are receiving substantial salary cuts to below market rates, and the company will continue to see large exodus of talented people who will enable our competitors and reduce capability. No longer a culture where the mission is our main focus. New management is unethical and immoral, and would be quite happy to gouge the taxpayer and drive up prices without creating additional value for customers. No opportunity for career growth, promotions, or pay raises. Leadership are all geospatial industry outsiders who do not understand our customers, employees, or technology and do not seem to have the capacity or interest to learn. Besides, the company doesn't seem to even be run by executive leadership team. It is run by Advent.

We appreciate your acknowledgment of the positive aspects of working at Maxar, such as collaborating with great colleagues on important solutions. However, we recognize that there are challenges that come with change. Your feedback is essential to us, and we take it seriously as we strive to create a supportive and rewarding work environment for all employees. As stated in the new vision and values rolled out by our executive leadership team earlier this year, mission and inclusive teamwork are at the heart of our business. We are also working to evolve processes and programs to build a meritocratic environment where team members are rewarded for their contributions and strong performance. We are committed to continuing to address these issues. Please feel free to reach out to us at feedback@maxar.com to share any additional feedback or concerns you may have. Thank you for your dedication and understanding during this time of transition.
