Thank you for taking the time to share your experience thus far at WP Engine. We're so glad to hear you find our virtual-first approach to work gives you the flexibility and balance you need to do your best work. We're also happy to hear you feel like people here at WP Engine care about lifting each other up and supporting their growth. WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent vs cost of living. We utilize salary surveys to review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit-based increases. The reason we have focal talent and pay planning cycles is to support a consistent and equitable review process. This allows managers to evaluate everyone on the team at once from both an impact and contribution perspective and pay relative to market to remove bias from the process. If you ever have more feedback to share, positive or constructive, we'd encourage you to reach out to your EE Business Partner or anybody on the Employee Experience Team. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and we're glad to have you here at WP Engine!

Pros

People here are crafty and helpful (most). Great benefits. Good well respected market positioning.

Cons

Things are changing and its pretty obvious something is shifting at the top that is changing the trajectory of the company (it rhymes with telling). Lets just say they let go 50 people recently due to "restructuring", promotions are slowing down and they are automating services to become more transactional- putting lipstick on the pig so to speak. Teams are struggling to hit quota because of the shifts and leadership is done answering questions about the changes. Very different company than it was even just 4 months ago- the company will be fine but the broader changes in tech are affecting roles and stability.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and feedback, our continued success depends on it. We're glad to hear you enjoy the people you work with and find our benefits meet your needs and expectations, but we're concerned to hear your experience in regards to our company direction and plans for the future has not been positve. Recently we've had to make big decisions in response to economic realities that impacted our strategic plan and our employees, and were transparent about why we restructured. Since then, we've been supporting those impacted with access to potential new opportunities inside WP Engine along with career coaching, job placement services, and transition financial support. We hope you'll find out 2024 Strategic Plan provides a clear and transparent outlook on our future and how we'll work together to get there, but we can never fully predict economic headwinds and will continue to do what we can to protect our people and customers. If you feel comfortable doing so, we'd encourage you to reach out to your EE Business Partner or anybody on our Employee Experience Team to speak more to these concerns, as feedback from employees is critical to our collective growth. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.

We're grateful that you took the time to share your feedback as it guides our growth and success. We're happy to hear you find our benefits and value the people you work with, we're proud of the culture our amazing employees have fostered and our Total Rewards Team puts in a lot of work to ensure we're offering industry leading benefits. In regards to no cost of living adjustments for salaries, WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent vs. cost of living. We utilize salary surveys to review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit-based increases. Thank you for your suggestion on the structure of our bonus plan, we'll make sure to pass your feedback along to our Total Rewards Team as well. We're sorry to hear you've had trouble finding the support you need from our Marketing Organization, we hope that recent changes will support increased bandwidth going forward. If you ever have more feedback to share, positive or constructive, we'd encourage you to reach out to your EE Business Partner or another person on our Employee Experience Team who would love to hear your thoughts. Have a great week!
