      Pros

      Smart colleagues and interesting customers to partner and collaborate with on scientific advances. Fairly relaxed culture - not a great deal of pressure.

      Cons

      Very much an boys club with a great deal of emphasis placed on being one of the guys. No apparent meritocracy at upper levels of the company - promotions seem to be based on who you know rather than results or sustained performance.

      Pros

      The people at Waters are great to work with. There are flexible hours and there are many people who are willing to help.

      Cons

      However, there doesn't seem like there is room to advance. It seems like the company is too large for its own good.

      Pros

      Good benefits; good opportunities for lateral movement in the organization. Many people have worked here a long time; many have left and returned to Waters.

      Cons

      Very, very political. Sometimes the executive management are pretty clueless, especially when faced with new challenges and new frontiers.
