Pros

Pay is competitive , there are some great employees not in management.

Cons

The work environment at the corporate office is very toxic. No laughter. CEO thinks he is better than you. Turn over rate is very high! if people don't quit they are fired.

I'm so disappointed to read these comments. And would really love to know more about what feels "toxic" to you. My door is always open. I would welcome hearing directly from you, not only about the concerns you have but your solutions, ideas and suggestions to make us better. We just recently held a meeting with the entire team to review what we learned from our formal surveys and everyone was offered an opportunity to give feedback. We know it's often hard to give feedback in a large group, yet there were also opportunities for individual, confidential suggestions after the meeting. I would continue to offer that opportunity and will always make time to visit directly with you so that it becomes possible for us to work together on solutions. Also know that these comments are shared with leadership and discussed. They are taken seriously. Thanks for feedback. We will continue to improve our focus on the work experience for all of us.

Thank you for recognizing our mission and our residents as positives. Our mission drives everything we do and motivates us to provide life-changing programming to those we serve. We are grateful to the residents, clients, and families who have placed their trust in us for 72 years! Stronger retention rates are always a goal. We are proud that we are headed in the right direction. Our expectations are high, and sometimes team members simply are not a fit and decide to seek an opportunity that better meets their needs and goals. With regard to our time-off policy, we made changes three years ago to address those practices, and the changes opened up significant flexibility and generous time off for many individuals – not only for their own needs, but to facilitate their being away from work for family members who may need their support as well. Thank you for the time you gave us, and we wish you all the best.

Cons

THEY WONT PAY YOU! Constant lying from corporate. They DO NOT CARE about frontline staff.

It is disappointing to hear these comments. It doesn't reflect the philosophies of WesleyLife or the leadership team. The front line team are the hands and feet of our organization. Without each one of you, we can't continue to serve people on our campuses or in the community. First and foremost at WesleyLife is our commitment to ethical practices - for our team and the people we serve. We hold ourselves to the highest levels of compliance in all aspects of our work. And we work to be transparent in our actions and in our communications. It's always important to look at all sides of a situation and understand the entire story. In this particular situation, there was a significant amount of effort made to listen to your concerns and find an appropriate answer. Some of the answers required research and the involvement of others which caused us to need a little time and an immediate answer couldn't be given. Had you stayed with us until we could find and communicate that decision, I believe we would have reached a reasonable and positive solution. WesleyLife works very hard to be fair and responsive to team member concerns. Yes, we sometimes could do better. When these types of concerns come up, it's always best when both sides work together and not against one another to problem solve and communicate. That's what WesleyLife will continue to try to do.
