Pros

Easy, laid back side hustle to make extra money.

Cons

Pay is like lunch money. Did not tell me this was telemarketing upfront. Job was basically bogus and not worth 9/hr

We are sorry to hear that your experience was less than positive. We strive to be honest, upfront and transparent. In fact, we make sure that during the hiring process, applicants are provided a sample script, sent sample calls and given a detailed email outlining that this position is in fact telemarketing. We in no way try to mislead individuals about this, and stress that we understand that this job may not be a fit for everyone. In addition, we are transparent about our pay. Our starting salary is $9 an hour, which increases to $10 an hour after 90 days. Six months after that there is another increase in pay, with an opportunity for a promotion as well. In addition, we offer bonuses for referrals, completing training and quality. We also provide healthcare insurance for employees who work over 30 hours a week and matching 401k options for up to 4% of our employees' salary. This information is reviewed in detail during the hiring process, reinforced during orientation and provided once more during HR Orientation. We regret that despite multiple emails, multiple training and and sample calls you were unaware that the position was telemarketing. We strive to be clear about the job and hope that this helps in hiring and sustaining a highly qualified workforce.

We regret that your experience was not positive, but respectfully disagree that we lack ethics and morals. In fact, we believe in acting in a fair and integral manner. In addition, we have never and will never terminate an employee for being ill. However, employees who fail to report to work or call in prior to missing their shifts are separated from employment due to their voluntary resignation . Our employees earn 5 paid vacation days a year, have 15 days of personal time and are allowed 8 occurrences. In total, this is 25 days outside of company closures that our agents are allowed to miss work. Therefore, any illness would be covered under this time. If an employee fails to call in or report to work, or fails to have a family member call in for them, they are in fact abandoning the job. This is not something we want to occur, but the responsibility for this action is on the part of the former employee. We encourage you to contact us directly if in fact this policy was not followed. Finally, we stress that all of our managers were call center representatives. We believe in a policy of promoting from within. Therefore, they are the most skilled and knowledgeable about the various projects we work on, and frequently take calls to stay abreast of the changing campaigns. Therefore, we must disagree that the managers are uneducated in the campaigns. They set the standard and provide helpful insight because they understand and know the job. We end with this, we understand that leaving a position is difficult, but do assure you that we have hundreds of employees who not only meet but exceed the company expectations daily. They have been the key source in our call center being voted the number one call center among call centers this past year. Therefore, it is simply untrue to state that the goals are not manageable, expectations are unrealistic and the attendance policy impossible to meet. Our workforce daily demonstrates an ability to show up to work each day prepared, ready to work and willing to learn. They represent the best in our workforce and are the reason we continue to grow as a team.

We are glad to hear that you found a great work/life balance with this job. We believe in offering a job that allows employees to be gainfully employed, while at the same time have time for family, hobbies and educational goals. We recognize that generating leads is not always an easy task, but majority of our representatives consistently meet and exceed this target. We abide by the belief that if you own the call, value great customer service skills and bring a positive attitude to each call, you can meet the expectations that our company has set forth. Our managers and QA team coach, encourage and provide lots of feedback to help you succeed. It is an investment when we make a decision to hire someone, and we work hard to ensure that the relationship is a great fit for both parties. There are weeks that will be more difficult than others, but we work together to take those challenges on as a team.
