Pros

Flexible hours, decent pay for college students, off holidays, work from home

Cons

Management has unrealistic standards when it comes to leads; they tell you people have signed up for their service...what they don't tell you is that most people don't realize that. There is a checked box on job applications & if you don't uncheck it we will give you a call. People get excited thinking they are getting a called in for an interview when when calling about educational opportunities. Very deceptive.

We continue to offer our employees alternate campaigns to work on. We do make education calls, but do abide by the highest standards in the industry. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that all of our data is TCPA compliant, and that all data we call on is 100% opted into by the prospective lead we call. By doing this, we try to ensure that our representatives are able to engage with great leads. We recognize that this is not always an easy task, but majority of our representatives consistently meet and exceed this target. We abide by the belief that if you own the call, value great customer service skills and bring a positive attitude to each call, you can meet the expectations that our company has set forth. We offer a $1.00 increase after 90 days, and a chance for a promotion and increase 6 months after that. Though management positions do not open frequently, we believe when one opens that our best applicants are those who understand the job. All of our managers and many of our QAs all worked as a Call Center Agent at one time. We know that this job is not easy, and we value the performance of agents. Therefore, we regularly offer incentives, which includes employee referral bonuses, bonuses and gift cards for exceeding company targets and other contests to keep our team motivated and to show our appreciation. It is our hope that daily we show our agents that the best part of our team is in fact the work they do for the team. We consistently are noted for our ethics in the industry and our commitment to ensuring that the data we call on not only meets, but exceeds industry standards. We do not engage in deception when securing leads, and those we call have multiple opportunities to opt out of being called. Yes, this job is telemarketing, but we believe in great customer service and using reliable data sources to generate leads for our partners and clients.

Pros

The only pro for this job is that you get to do it from home. However, that fact alone is not enough to make anyone stay at this job long term.

Cons

This job is a heartless scam. You call poor people who are looking for a crappy job and offer them publicly traded school on wall street that are established scams. The management tells you that people sign up for this information but it is very clear when you call them that the company is stealing peoples information while they are applying for jobs. So then management shoves numbers numbers numbers down your throat that they know are unattainable. The management is the worst here, they literally do nothing put copy and paste and send out the same emails over and over again. Its clear they don't want to do work and they don't respond to your emails. But they love to send why aren't your numbers up emails right after they send you that you did a great job on your calls. The job is taxing on your mental status and you feel guilty offering people this crap when they just need to pay their bills.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience with our company. We certainly want our representatives to feel valued. Working in a call center can be a challenging task at times. However, we try to offer a supportive environment that demonstrates our commitment to a healthy work/life balance. Representatives are able to create their own schedule, and we encourage representatives when working from home, to build in breaks and to to create a schedule that meets their needs while working from home. We do offer breaks for both part-time and full-time employees. We follow the department of labor guidelines which outlines when mandatory breaks must be given, depending on the hours worked. Our employees are allowed the flexibility while working from home to take the needed time for breaks. We stress during the application and interview process that this job is telemarketing. It is not cold calling, but it is telemarketing. We work to train our team on how to overcome objections. Our education campaign is not a hard sale job, and if a caller is using profanity toward our representatives we encourage our employees to use a courtesy close. We never want any of our employees to experience verbal abuse. There will be days where there will be lots of interested callers and leads are excited to talk with you, and there will be days in which you will have voicemails, not interested callers and people who do not qualify for our services. Those days can be challenging. This is when we ask our employees to muster up motivation within themselves to keep going and to keep doing a good job. We believe in the services we offer, and believe that our employees are the best in the industry.

Pros

Somewhat flexible control of your schedule, five paid vacation days, managers are nice, work from home. Easy work with relatively little oversight. You will get paid for real though, it's an actual company and not a straight-up scam.

Cons

First of all, this job is really unethical. You're basically harassing people who only wanted to sign up to get information about jobs, to try to get them to sign up for online and offline for-profit higher education, which is going to put them further in debt and most likely not help their careers. Considering it's a work from home telemarketing position, their restrictions about time off and if you're a little late feel a little over-the-top compared to similar positions I've held, and sometimes you are live monitored during your calling, so if you mutter something to yourself that they don't like you'll get chewed out for it. Also, after a year of being a great employee for them, I was making only $10.50/hr.
