Pros

You can move up go places with the company all over the US. Training is constant and if you have a good manager you will do well.

Cons

Sadly there is a culture in this company that is terrible. There are select few people who have been chosen to move along career paths set by those above the DPM. If you are not white, it seems you are rarely able to go above Property Manager. Rumors and hearsay govern your reputation by upper management whom take what they hear as gospel and never bother to get the other side of a story. Once your name is dragged through the mud it is impossible to change their minds. Even if their information is based on things that are not true. Once a certain person gets it in their mind that they want you gone they will recommend putting you on an unwarranted performance plan and if that does not work they will search for a needle in cornfield to get rid of you. No matter how long I worked for them, I never seemed to have them view me for my value, only what they heard someone say. Do not get me wrong, there were those who took the time to know me. Saw me as I was and not some non-white irritant. There are some amazing people in that company, sadly that is severely underscored by the staggering mass of people there who are just plain awful human beings. What happened was sad and uncalled for but I have seen it so many times with other people who have come and gone in a similar manner. I just never thought I would count myself among them. Watch your back and be very careful in all you do. Lest they find some mistake you made that should not even be and issue and make it one.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you have appreciated the many job opportunities Winn has nationwide, and that you’ve enjoyed our training programs. It is however incredibly unfortunate to hear your perceptions about the WinnCompanies culture. WinnCompanies strives to provide all team members with equal opportunities for growth and advancement in their careers, and embraces the differences in background, experiences, and thought that make us stronger as an organization. Our annual merit based performance review process is not only intended to provide feedback to help our team members grow, but also to ensure that opportunities for promotion and advancement are measured fairly company-wide. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. We would very much appreciate the opportunity to listen to your experience in more detail, and encourage you to reach out to Human Resources to discuss.

Pros

A lot of paid days off, almost every holiday you can think of. Plenty of vacation days sick and personal days. Pretty good benefits package and the company always looks to promote from within. A lot of growth opportunities.

Cons

Can be hectic at times, being on call is frustrating catering to the needs of residents after hours is never fun even if you do get paid for it. The hours may be 8-5 on paper but reality is our communities are home to hundreds of people that call your job home. There’s never a time that your truly “off” if you have any level of responsibility in the company. Some people despise this part of the job. You see first hand how some people play the system and live it up off of your tax dollars with subsidized rent and welfare assistance yet manage to have an 8k flatscreen and a bmw with a Winn parking sticker in the lot and enough weed to choke Bob Marley

Pros

Benefit of working at Winn: ATO/Vacation Time

Cons

What you need to know before become an employee at Winn. You will learn lots but it all about favoritism. Hard work does not pay off at Winn actually it’s opposite. It pays off if you are best friends with your superior. Any body else notice the referrals have a common person? Stop taking cigarette breaks while everyone is working hard. The other departments takes us a joke. The department has a high turnover.
