Many of our sites have Administrators with clinical backgrounds however, Physicians do not report up through the Administrator on clinical issues. Site Physicians report up through the Site Medical Director and/or Regional Medical Director on all clinical issues. We support all of our staff both clinical and non-clinical and encourage our employees to utilize the problem solving process to resolve issues and concerns. We thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Heather Dale, Employee Relations Specialist

Pros

Sustainability - doesn't get boring. Nursing staff is hardworking and dedicated. Competitive pay, good benefits. Corrections is a specialty where you learn things they didn't cover in nursing school.

Cons

Lack of support from corporate. Seriously detached in their decision making. Will order to terminate on site staff for perceived slights that do not exist, etc. Interventions are often unrealistic and more burdensome than productive. Problems with payroll and simple changes (W-2 declaration for instance) take a long time and constant follow up to resolve.
