No career path outside of sales org

Pros

Good benefits, pay is good for the role, $300 stipend every month, free books, fertility benefits, occasional company holidays, stocks

Cons

The BDR org reminds me of a summer camp. These are all extremely young college grads who are now starting their career paths. We once had a meeting on how to act in the office because some of these individuals had never worked in an office setting before since this was their first job! Great place to start your career, but very awkward if you’re 30+ years old. Also the career path is to stay in sales aka the next step/promotion is to be an account executive. There is no path outside of that that’s been established.

Pros

* excellent product * Great vision and innovation in the UCaaS space * A new and growing company which is exciting and intense * Onboarding is fun

Cons

* Account Executives own too much of the sales process * Immense amount of admin work to get a sale complete * Most processes state ‘check with your manager,’ which can be frustrating as turnover for most companies is difficult in this job market * The culture is extremely dependent on which segment you are in and is not across the company * Lack of maturity in the company overall causes reworking and overworking due to no processes or standardization of communication * poor communication from management * lack of transparency on sales goals and territory planning
