Growing company, low pay.

Pros

Strong leadership (top-tier). Efficient systems. Strong engineering. Fast growth. Overtime. Honesty is valued. Health care, 401K, dental, profit share.

Cons

Education is not a priority, leading to managers who do not know how to manage people, or their own workload. Very low starting salary and little to no raise, despite changing market, large profit margins and expanding workload. Not a positive environment for women! Some senior managers are very resistant and hostile to women in the workplace. Strict HR codes which can feel confining. Slow to promote. Low morale to an unprofessional degree.

Pros

This is the most honest review of the TSM role you will find. ( I left for a new position) Pros: Not a high stress environment, set your own schedule, stable position (in regards to keeping your job).. As long as you do your job you have nothing to worry about. MOST people are good people who you will enjoy working with. They offer a solid PTO package (BEWARE THE PTO IS ACCRUED). company car (you pay for it monthly 140-180 off a check, however everything else is free).

Cons

New commission structure, you will NOT make much money in commission. I worked in a top territory and was not making much money at all. Conservatively cut commission in the 20-30K range. ASK them to explain the commission structure in the interview and you will understand what I am saying. Constant changing of the guard/direction of the company. Every other month they are changing what KPI's are expected/whatever the new flavor of the month is. They preach transparency however its a thick black cloud at the top/from HQ (Germany/Rhode Island). The higher up's care more about inputting notes/information in salesforce than anything else. You could go out and have solid meetings all day and then come back to your manager asking why you don't have any notes in the system. Lastly, they mislead you. After the commission plan was changed they told us that they were going to provide a "discretionary" year end bonus (year end bonuses were taken away in the NEW commission plan). We were told for months these would mimic or "be close" to what we have received in past years. I received 7% of what my bonus would have been. Also, ask them about how many people have left in the last year or 2? We have lost well over 20 salespeople at this company(maybe more). It is very sad because I really enjoyed my job and working at this company. I never had any intention of leaving until all these changes happened. What I went over is not even 25% of all the negative changes that has happened. I hope you use this information to inform yourself and not take this as a brazen negative review. Igus overall is a solid, growing company, just not one that rewards high producers and provides a positive collaborative environment

Decent company poor management

Pros

Great niche products, Very innovative. Amazing marketing and sales tools. Decent company world wide but domestic US management has shifted and focus has shifted on $ for new fancy facilities and away from taking care of their people..

Cons

Micro managing. Management pushing for unrealistic goals with out having the back end structure to support the sales they are driving for. There are a lot of “flavor of the month” initiatives being handed down stream to sales, constant changing of expectations and direction. Sales increase but the US factory can’t deliver. Huge lead times, poor inventory management. Frequent price increases recently. Internal processing systems are extremely antiquated, with no solution in site. Recent high turnover and decisions are being made spread the work vs replace the people. Used to be an amazing company to work for… things have slid significantly over the past couple years.
