Pros

New management, new ideas, mobility, remote-ability, fun and exciting people. Decent benefits, vacation is typical American style, meaning, lack of but if you are smart you can negotiate it. If you show leadership, dependability and strength the managers and co-workers notice and it'll pay off.

Cons

Your typical office environment with the common climate control craziness. The closed off cubes can get rather claustrophobic and dark.

Pros

Office is nice and the benefits are decent. 401k matching is vested from day 1.

Cons

Management is network if good old boys who lack basic leadership skills. There is no strategy, communication, or support from management. Management has no knowledge of market conditions or how to sell their products. They expect their employees to not only figure this out all on their own, but to solve major problems without the help of their superiors. If you bring major issues to their attention or need help, you are seen as weak. Rather than dealing with major issues, they would rather get rid of you and hire someone else who is none the wiser. Nobody who works at symplr can figure out how the company is still in business or how they were able to swindle investors for money to keep the company afloat. If you care about making a difference in your job and want to help a company grow, this is not the role for you.

Just a miserable environment

Pros

You can work at home once in a while. They give you free food a couple times a month to try to make you forget everything bad about where you work.

Cons

No loyalty. They bought a great company and are running it into the ground. Top talent is leaving in droves either voluntarily or not. Job hopping development managers have been brought in, run off 10+ year veterans of the company, and replaced them with their friends. Everybody still there is miserable. There's been a lot of fighting, backstabbing, and tears.
