Imagine a space where children can have fun, while breathing purified air – thanks to the power of biotechnology. That’s exactly what our Otrivin nasal health brand brought to young people in Cairo, Egypt, through the air-purifying “Air Bubble” experience. Developed in partnership with ecoLogicStudio, the Otrivin Air Bubble is a unique educational experience which uses microalgae as a natural filter to provide clean air. It was installed in December at Cairo’s National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to raise awareness about the devastating impact of air pollution, which is considered the world’s largest environmental health threat. Water plays a critical role in supporting people’s health, as well as their social and economic well-being. But all too often, this precious resource can be taken for granted. In Cape Town, we've partnered with WWF South Africa to support its water replenishment activities in the Western Cape. Water replenishment projects are vital to South Africa – which will face a 17% gap between levels of water supply and demand by 2030. The project is focused on removing non-native plants from the local water catchment area, as the presence of these plants can reduce the amount of freshwater available in affected areas. The project aims to restore 250 hectares in the local catchment area by 2025, and will establish a community-run nursery growing native plant species that will be used as part of the river restoration activities, benefiting the local ecosystem and community. Partnering with WWF South Africa will support the delivery of our goal for all sites to achieve good water stewardship by 2025, with sites in water-stressed basins becoming water neutral by end 2030.

For me, it’s less about getting the flavour profile technically right, and more making sure it is familiar and evokes an emotion or brings back a special memory that puts a smile on your face.” said Angela Eppler, Ph.D., Sr. Principal Scientist, when describing her experience cooking up the recipe for ChapStick Pumpkin Pie. The very first ChapStick was made in the 1880’s by Dr. Charles Browne Fleet in Virginia, USA, and was sold in tin foil. We have come a long way since then! Our lip balms and come in over a hundred different varieties, including themed ones for the holiday season including candy cane and gingerbread. Everyone has their own favourite, which we noticed when we stopped producing ChapStick Green Apple. The flavour is now back due to the volume of requests from loyal customers, who were some of the first ones to know of the return as we posted ChapStick Green Apple boxes to them as a surpris

Brian McNamara, CEO Haleon 2022 has been a year like no other for Haleon. Listing on both the London and New York Stock Exchanges in July as the first global standalone company 100% focused on Consumer Health. Shortly after listing, and aligned to our company purpose to deliver better everyday health with humanity, we shared our commitment to health inclusivity. We haven’t stopped As we reach the year’s end, I am so proud of everything the Haleon team has accomplished. Yesterday, I shared this short film internally to give an overview of our very big year condensed into 99 seconds. The best is still ahead I am honoured to be the first CEO of Haleon and feel privileged to see Haleon start life as a strong, focused, and resilient company that plans to help people to manage their everyday health for years to come. As we move into 2023, we have a lot of firsts ahead of us and I look forward to each and every one of them. For now, as we start to think about the holiday season, I hope everyone will take time to pause, reflect on what they are most proud of and celebrate.
