Happy Transgender Day of Visibility! At Sharecare, our belief that we’re “all together better” isn’t a sentiment that stops at our standard for inclusivity within the workplace; it also inspires us to help shape the healthcare industry to serve the spectrum of unique health needs and concerns experienced by individuals of all diverse gender identities. Today, we celebrate the resilience of transgender, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming individuals who often are challenged to find health resources that both affirm their identities while also providing necessary health information. To see how we’re promoting better health for all, explore our “Transgender Health and Wellness” content center, a resource that’s continually updated by our team of health journalists and reviewed by our medical advisors.

We love our “hometown” of Atlanta, and it gives us great pride to help our communities become “all together better.” It’s one of the reasons we’re joining environmental health experts from Emory University, the University of Georgia at the newly formed Center for Children’s Health Assessment, Research Translation, and Combating Racism, which supports the health and well-being of underserved and underrepresented communities in Metro Atlanta. Recently, the Center was awarded a $4 million grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) to direct innovative health communication interventions, curricula, and research-backed policies toward the prevention and early detection of environmental health dangers among Black children in the metro area. For the fourth year straight, Sharecare’s own Jeff Arnold, Dawn Whaley, and Justin Ferrero are among Atlanta Magazine’s Atlanta 500, an annual list of the “city’s most powerful leaders.” Honorees are set apart not only by their outstanding achievements in business, but also, as guest editor Katrice Mines explains it, “by the thoughtful way that they have gone about considering their work and the work of their companies – people first.” We proudly congratulate this trio for joining the ranks of the Atlanta 500 and for the culture of “sharing care” they foster through their leadership.
As conflict has arisen in Ukraine, many around the world share concern and care for those impacted by this humanitarian crisis.
