The GIANT Company held its 2023 DE&I Summit, providing space to engage in open dialogue, learn, and be inspired. Connect, Collaborate, and Cultivate, the theme, speaks to the actions we all need to take to continue building a culture that recognizes and celebrates everyone's differences in our workplace and the communities we serve. Company leaders and guest speakers spoke about topics like implicit bias, health equity, and actions we can all take to create a culture of belonging. There was also a dynamic panel discussion with participants highlighting strategies and practices that help ensure our stores are inclusive of the traditions and cultures within each community we serve. Our Business Resource Groups promoted the power of community, creating opportunities for team members to join groups important to them, and we were treated to cultural performances by Cierra Woods and the Dwennimmen African American Community. It was truly a great day to connect, collaborate, and cultivate our culture of inclusion!
Please join us in congratulating Rebecca Lupfer, who has been named chief financial officer, and David Lessard who has been named senior vice president of operations, customer experience and perishable distribution! “Rebecca and Dave are talented, passionate, and results-driven leaders, with vast retail grocery experience and a deep awareness of our customers and their evolving needs,” said John Ruane, president, The GIANT Company. “During their tenures with The GIANT Company, they’ve made numerous contributions to our business and their teams, and I know they will continue to do so in their new roles, setting the stage for our company’s continued success.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eh9wKNyY

Today, Siete's products, including tortillas, seasonings, and cookies, are sold in 16,000 stores in the U.S. & Canada. There's no better way to celebrate our 100th anniversary than with our team members - they've been our secret ingredient since day one! Teams from the support office recently visited each of our 193 stores and six e-commerce centers to say thanks and drop off party packs in advance of tomorrow's festivities. Everyone had SO much fun; we can't wait to do it again! #TGC100 #100YearsOfGIANT
Connecting families for a better future starts with our own. Yesterday, we hosted The GIANT Company's annual family day at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pa. It was a fun-filled fall day for all, and most importantly, we got to show our appreciation for our team members and their families for all they do. #TGC100 #100YearsOfGIANT
