Today, The GIANT Company joined its partners, International Fresh Produce Association and Dole Food Company, to honor Breanna Norris, produce manager at GIANT in Doylestown, Pa., as IFPA Retail Produce Manager of the Year! Breanna is one of only 15 produce managers nationwide to receive this top honor in 2023. “Bre is an outstanding leader and visual storyteller,” said Al Carcifi, regional manager of fresh merchandising, The GIANT Company. “Her creativity elevates displays, amplifying special events, holidays, and promotions to tell the stories of our brands and supplier partners while creating an authentic customer experience. She is a mentor, role model, and a great example of how our team members strive to connect families to a better future daily.” Congratulations, Bre - we're so proud of you!
Please join us in congratulating Eugene Peters on his promotion to regional director. In his new role, Eugene will oversee retail operations at 17 stores across southcentral Pennsylvania and northern Maryland, working with team members to simplify shopping, inspire fresh ideas, and create healthier communities. Eugene joined The GIANT Company eight years ago and has 20 years of retail grocery experience. Throughout his career with us, Eugene has held the roles of store manager, center store sales manager, and most recently, the category manager for rewards and commercial bakery. His vast operations background and merchandising experience make Eugene a well-rounded leader to guide his new team. "I'm especially looking forward to connecting with team members, customers, and business partners and working together to serve our communities and connect with them on a personal level," said Peters. "With one goal in mind, we are all getting better every day while positively impacting the lives of those around us on the journey to becoming the best version of ourselves, growing our already amazing legacy." Eugene, we're excited to see you grow through this new opportunity and can't wait to see the difference you'll make in the lives of your team, customers, and the communities you serve.
