Pros

Great name known around the world and a decent resume to keep the work coming in. Generally you have a lot of room for growth. There are also some amazing people who work here.

Cons

The pay is less than competitive and they will keep you there; you have to fight and for every dime and in the end the jumps are very small. Also there is not formal training on anything and more often than not your direct manager wont train you either. Ultimately politics controls the firm and a lot of the time everyone was not assisting the next group of employee but solely focused on their wont alignment. Often all this takes is the threat of leaving to get promotion and or more money because they also promote out of fear not competency.

Pros

If your a competent employee there is opportunity here to grow at this firm. They are in dire need of quality people.

Cons

These people under staff each project they get with the next man up mentality no matter the work experience of the next individual. There is no real training or mentoring of the next group of project staffers. They have lost almost every proven veteran employee due to lack of communication and Sr manager engagement/support. Under staffing the projects leads to safety / quality and employee burn out something these guys claim is not part of the culture. Unfortunately it's just lip service they want to work you to death, only the bottom line matters here. Why do you think there is such employee turnover here the numbers are staggering?? The Oakland office really has no regional leader who is engaged with the project staff's and real project issues. The project executive team at this company is an embarrassment.

Pros

Great people to work with they want you to grow and offer great learning experiences. I honestly wish I could work for them again. They are really about the people that work for them which makes it that much easier to work for the company the project I was on was like family. They do really great company outings and have competitions which were really fun, they have challenges and the acknowledge the work you do for them this company understands that the people are what makes the company work and without them there would be no company. They make sure they treat you as an individual and not just like a a worker bee, they learn the type of person you are and handle things according to you not how they handle everyone one else.
