The company is growing quickly which shows promise and their module seems to work.

Cons

Be careful in the interview process, they are all drinking the kool-aid and quite a few of us felt very misled in our interviews about what we would be doing. it's 4 weeks of training (which seems a little ridiculous for what you're actually doing day to day) and the working weekend thing is more intensive than they let on -- you are confined to your desk, very little freedom, IT IS A LEGITIMATE CALL CENTER. Just beware if this isn't what you signed up for...they'll make it sound like it's something more glamorous but..you will honestly just be a number here.

The business model is great. As an employee it feels good to say you work for a company that gives customers a better way to buy a car. On the surface there appears to be a focus on culture and values. Unfortunately that "vision" doesn't get past the corporate office in Phoenix.

Cons

The senior team is totally disconnected from the rest of the company. Communication is terrible. There are problems with execution daily that negatively impact customer service and employee morale. The long hours take a toll and there is no end in sight. The one Senior leader that we could all rely on just left. It's hard to trust a company that would allow their most respected and trusted leader to leave.

CARVANA is hands down the best job I've ever had... and I've had some great jobs... I come from a background of freelance; making my own schedule, being my own boss, pretty great----minus the stability---- I found CARVANA when I was ready to find a place I could commit and make an impact, and I couldn't have found a better fit. NO i'm not a car "GURU" and had no background in the automotive industry, BUT i am passionate about a work environment that is full of fun people and hard workers... and this is what I found. CARVANA values motivated individuals... as as long as you are a "volunteer before you are asked" type of personality you will do big things here. It feels amazing to be part of something great, growing RAPIDLY into something GREATER. As cliche as it sounds, I look forward to coming in to work daily, and feel as though I work among friends. I've never been asked to leave my personality at home, and thats HUGE.... oh, and not to mention we can wear comfortable shoes. It is a truly unique culture we are building here, full of forward thinkers and customer focused individuals. CARVANA not only values its employees; it values the communities we exist in and ALWAYS works to do right by our customers. With Car sales being notoriously "shady" i feel proud to be a part of a company disrupting the game!

Cons

As much as I love working here, and will totally and 100% agree that this work environment is NOT for everyone. If you LOVE structure, tested and established processes, clear direction at all times, tight perimeters on your "roll" and job responsibilities... this is NOT the place for you. My biggest struggles here have been related to the aforementioned, and I am not a fan of swimming the "mainstream" . There has been times I've felt overworked, overwhelmed (but NEVER underpaid) and like we jumped into things before we were truly staffed and able to. This to me was all just a disconnect with management and those on the ground. I feel like the lack of direction, and disconnect isn't because no one cares... its simply because THEY DIDN'T KNOW! So if you are going to be successful and thrive at CARVANA, my advice is find your voice! ---Share your opinions, and make your own effort to erase any lines of miscommunication!
