Pros

If you are married and willing to work for a very low pay, this company has potential to retire with. They do have the work-from-home opportunities for certain positions.

Cons

It's not a good place for the younger professional. They laid off people that have been there for more than 20 years forcing them to retire.

Pros

-Some departments let you create your own schedule -Telecommuting for some employees -Ability to learn about the health care industry -Friendly coworkers -Building is close to downtown Nashville

Cons

The culture and work environment has decreased immensely since BCBS of SC bought this company from Cigna. Morale is extremely low. Salaries are below the Nashville market rates. Absurdly long schedules in the IT areas. Executive decisions seem to be only made on cutting costs....It appears that management rarely fills crucial positions in order to keep costs down. You may have to use a sign to tell managers that you're on a break or at lunch....This is extremely demoralizing Some managers are constantly micromanaging your work. It's extremely hard to move up into management positions since they are rare and usually filled by "long-termers"

Pros

The employees are hard working and dedicated, so it makes for a great team to work with. But they have to be because management and upper management are terrible.

Cons

There is no room for growth, you cannot advance with the company at all. When we first met the new CEO Steve smith he let everyone know "if we don't need you, you wont be here" its hard to go to work thinking that constantly. The pay is terrible, and the raises are basically non existent.
