Pros

My coworkers were the only thing that made this job bearable, I wish I had more positive things to say.

Cons

Upper management is completely out of touch with their employees. Micro-management at its finest. The company is completely productivity driven and sets unrealistic metrics. Hands down, this is the most stressful and unpleasant job I have ever had.

Pros

I work from home. (many opportunities to work-from-home full-time or part-time). I earn PTO at a great rate per month. Manager challenges me to improve and grow and gives me opportunities if I want them. If you perform well your annual review will reflect that with an increase in pay. It's all up to you!

Cons

Salaries not as competitive - I live in a state outside of the home office location and salaries are not comparative...controlled by Govt Contract regulations. The contracting environment is one of constant change and if your company doesn't keep up, there's a chance to lose contracts or not win new business. It is very demanding. Health Insurance options are not great for those living out of state. Packages are not great coverage. Premiums are higher than if I had insurance from an in-state insurance provider. (yes, premiums are high everywhere).

Pros

The benefits aren't bad, they give extra pto for exercising regularly and 401k matching. You can elect for 4 10 hour days.

Cons

The training for new employees is terrible and basically non existent. If you have a masters degree in accounting you only start at 41k which is basically minimum wage for that education level, I almost doubled my salary when I left. They give you a measly 3 percent for passing the CPA. It takes 3 to 5 years to get a promotion in the auditing department, there were people there for 5 years still making under the 48k overtime threshold. Auditors just sit at a cube all day and do the exact same thing every day, it's so boring. I don't know how people waste their lives away in the auditing positions. Employees with 20 years are mere supervisors and are not even considered managers in the organization so they are very far down the organizational chart. I was personally sexually harassed and HR did not do enough to stop it. Someone took a photo of me on the toilet. Please look for other jobs before settling at CGS, there is a reason the turnover there is so high. Just look at other reviews to see how other employees feel the same way as me.
