Pros

Good culture on the ground level. Friendly people to work with. Half day Fridays in the summer.

Cons

The company used to be a really great company to work for and one where it seemed that leadership cared. It now is a MUCH worse shell of its former self. Starting with leadership. You have a CRO who unfortunately has no external experience other than sitting in the role long enough. This inexperience shines through when changes are made based on what side of the bed he woke up on that day. A lack of trust, transparency and respect makes for an awful combination. The product is boring and most of the people you speak to don't even care about it either. In terms of innovation, there's not much behind the Dev and Product team as there seems to be zero idea as to where the product should go. Selling is made to be an impossible obstacle unless you're an Enterprise rep. So many hoops and challenges to get through internally just to make a sale is ridiculous. Finally, the Enterprise reps. I have never had the displeasure of working with such a toxic group of people. There are really just 3 main ones who do nothing but complain. Leadership of course bends over backwards for them. They're not good reps, they've just been in the industry long enough to understand the use case very well - other than that, its funny to see leadership use them as examples when they can't even lead a discovery call. The pay and benefits are abysmal. The pay was genuinely laughable.

Pros

Half Friday during summer time most co-workers are nice

Cons

Salary is way below average for developers. Tight deadlines, and if you do not work fast, this is not the right place for you. I have seen too many people left the company either because they got fired or they found a better place. A lot of junior developers and basically no senior developers, most people left after they gain 1- 2 years experience.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry you didn’t enjoy working at i-Sight. We have lots of amazing developers at every level and every year we participate in a province wide compensation survey to ensure we’re paying our team competitive salaries.

Cons

Micromanaged projects Limited opportunity for advancement Bending to clients whims (scope creep) Abusive team leads Bad base pay No yearly salary increases (unless top performer)

I’m sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience while working at i-Sight. I wish you’d come to us with these issues while you worked here, as some of what you’ve mentioned is certainly not aligned with our culture and values at i-Sight. We absolutely value and respect our employees at all levels, and would never tolerate ‘abuse’. Please reach out to me so that we can discuss further at hr.group@i-sight.com.
