Pros

This was my first job out of college. Salary is on the lower end for sales development roles in the area/industry but my direct manager made strides to stay competitive. 3 weeks PTO was great. We had company-wide happy hours/ice cream socials/birthday celebrations and the sales team was regularly treated to monthly/quarterly celebrations if your marks were made(TopGolf/sports games/lunches). Within the SDR team we were all young and meshed well, often hanging out on the weekends together. Company-wide everyone was friendly and willing to help should you need it.

Cons

The sales development program was built years ago and hasn't been modified after doubling in size. Quota was almost a myth as it was rarely hit by our top performers. In the interview process I was told there was no cold-calling and it turned out to be a majority of my day. Due to the niche market and Microsoft trends across the globe some SDR territories were not as easy to sell as others. At times it was hard to stay competitive with other territories because some reps were allowed to book less-than-legit leads.

Pros

Personally, I haven't experienced any issues with management. They've always been fair with me. The company is growing rapidly so this is a great opportunity to come in and gain valuable experience and also move into a different role if you prove yourself capable. I've personally moved into different positions that I coveted and I've witnessed several colleagues do the same, so it is possible to move up in this company if you prove yourself capable but you need to show initiative just like you would need to at any other company. Good culture. This is something that is evolving as we grow but I've seen that we've been able to maintain the same fun, fast-paced environment over the years. No formal work from home policy but you're allowed to work from home some for certain circumstances. Competitive compensation and yearly raises.

Cons

They do need to find a permanent HR manager and they need to put a permanent team in place for that. The product is good but the development team is located in another country so it has always been a challenge with communication between teams and remains an issue. Could probably use some improved benefits. Just OK and no company perks currently.
