Pros

Employees are great, benefits and PTO are great too.

Cons

I worked here for 4.5 years and absolutely loved my job. I loved my coworkers. The company culture is centered around treating everyone like a human, being different than any other company and putting employees first. I truly believed every word and recommended friends and family to apply. I was loyal, dedicated and worked so hard for my team. No performance issues, no attendance issues, or write ups. So when I tell you the shock I had when I was invited to a video meeting where I was laid off in mass with 100+ people. No time for questions, no word from our managers and our systems shutdown immediately. These are things you hear about at Amazon and other companies. Never ever would I have expected Corporate Tools to do this. I understand layoffs happen but the way they did it was so cutthroat and soulless. I’m honestly still in shock about it. And afterward, no reach out from my manager… just silence. The company I spent nearly 5 years at. And the shock and outcry from others in the meeting, desperate to know why they were chosen. Please be so cautious working here and know they will let you go without any notice. They no longer exhibit the values I knew and loved. A company founded on such great culture lost the trust of their entire workforce in a matter of a 3 minute video meeting.

Pros

Benefits Work life balance Pay Remote work Good people at low levels

Cons

Was told they wanted someone who asked questions and pushed to make change. This was false. They want yes men, so I conformed and was layed off anyways. Just so they can higher a yes man. Said they want employees to do what they love. When I talked about shifting what I was doing, I got laid off. They said the layoffs were due to the company over highering, but they are still highering new employees for positions they just laid off. The upper level people talk in circles and are two face. They say one thing but expected the opposite. Was told when hired that this company never laid people off but that is a lie. They got rid of 100+ people in one video call; completely unprofessional. Some who worked there 6+ years. They destroyed peoples livelihoods because of a reorg. Which could have been handled better. Everything is expected to be done quickly and without proper and thoughtful process. Again, whims of one man. Micromanaging owner. He would change his mind regularly (weekly) and expect everyone to drop what they are doing to cater to his ridiculous whims. He has no respect for process, he does not trust that the employees know what they are doing and was verbally abusive in his emails. A company this large should have a board. Not ran by an egotistical child. They do not care about who you are, only how much you produce.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Reducing the workforce was one of the most difficult decisions we’ve ever had to make. It was a necessary step to ensure stability and success for the future. But we are sincerely sorry that so many amazing people were impacted. At Corporate Tools, we truly care about our employees, and hope to never to be in this position again. We appreciate everything you gave during your time here.

Pros

PTO, paid holidays, benefits, different departments

Cons

They swore when first hired they were built on good culture, being open and honest. They just laid off atleast 100 people no warning. Many of us have children, and based our time preaching how well the company was. Do not trust them.

Our sincerest apologies for what you went through. This was the first time in Corporate Tools history that we had to resort to lay offs, and we deeply regret the impact it’s had on employees past and present. Moving ahead, we vow to learn from this experience and work towards rebuilding trust among our colleagues.
