Lack of Leadership

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Not a bad working environment compared to other companies.

Cons

Ineffective organizational structure. Lacks corporate leadership. Company run by keystone cops. Constant talk about streamlined structures and operations never comes to fruition. The leadership does not appear to have any idea what to do next or how to solve problems. No career opportunity for growth and development in US but lots in Germany. Outlook and operational activities are being driven by random inexperienced individuals. Lots of turnover and loss of experience. Outdated and ineffective systems and processes.

Pros

- Good benefits - Autonomy

Cons

Eppendorf tends to be very archaic, segmented, and poorly managed. The parent companies drive is to be a leader (make as much money as possible), but does not want to invest in good employees, is unwilling to change old fashioned practices, has no real training programs (if promoted, you are just thrown into the new position without training, being informed of important contacts, or current issues, but expected to help deliver revenue), and the company is very segmented, both from a local organization perspective and a broader international level.

Pros

There is always work to do. It’s very hard to get fired.

Cons

Entire workplace is totally filthy and not cleaned frequently or thoroughly, even after covid. -Mask wearing is not enforced in the workplace, not everyone wears one. -no hazard pay or compensation for traveling workers, pay is already so low for the extent of work that we do. -manager can be unprofessional and holds grudges against others in the workplace. does not take criticism well. Workers are kept in check with intimidation. -upper management is hellbent on meeting revenue goals and are willing to cut corners in the service product. They are too detached from customer or employee needs. -change only happens until issues are escalated by customers. For an “innovative” company they are embarrassingly reactionary. -training program is a complete joke, remote learning for this job is ineffective and results in techs who are incompetent in basic skills long after they are hired. -there's no such thing as company culture. little is done to keep morale within the team. -there no space to move up within company even if you are a top performer, no career advancement implemented whatsoever making this job a dead end -It’s difficult to take time off, management only lets a certain amount of people in the territory off at a certain time. -if you do decide to work here, know that they are just like every money-hungry company. if you do 110% they will only make it harder on you and keep you running. you won't be rewarded for being a good worker, nor will you be penalized if you do poorly.
