Pros

- Everyone is willing to help each other and there is a tremendous amount of support from colleagues and upper management. - You get to work on an exciting product that you are interested in - If you are interested in exploring other areas there is room to move if you so choose - Benefits and pay are great iMO - Great work culture - Recognition and acknowledgment from peers and leaders - You are encouraged to feel empowered to make decisions and creative suggestions - I could go on and on

Cons

- As it is can be described in 'start-up culture' there can often be ambiguity in processes & procedures - Working with 3rd parties leaves a lot out of your control when trying to deliver on a timeline None other than that I can think of

Pros

- full remote - unlimited vacation

Cons

Where to start… - low pay - incompetent managers and leaders. This stems from the fact that a lot of these people are under qualified or they were ops people who somehow made it into management. They have no idea what they’re doing and I’ve been at many companies - super underqualified devs. Completely honestly, these engineers are worse than computer science 101 students and boot camp students. Half of them don’t know how to google. The other half doesn’t know how to dig through a stack trace. There are no “seniors” or “principals” the ones with those titles definitely aren’t senior level engineers when comparing with senior level engineers at other companies. If you wanna skate by and do the minimum, by all means join. If you care about furthering your career, do not join.
