Pros

You get a pay check...if you are lucky

Cons

Management lies to everyone all of the time. If they are talking they are lying. Nothing they've told us has come to fruition. They are lying to their client as well. Promotions are based on bogus numbers their software is not reporting correctly. Everyone knows and the animosity towards management for not addressing the issue hangs in the air like a suffocating poisonous cloud. There have been fist fights and one all out brawl. People sit in the parking lot having sex and smoking pot. They are hiring hundreds of people at their Richardson location and can't even implement a functioning time tracking system. They are using managers to manually track the time of hundreds of employees. Many did not receive paychecks for up to 6 weeks. To date people are still having trouble being shorted on their checks. We watch horrible things on video and are supposed to have Wellness Managers on the floor to assist us through trauma. However, they are only available by appointment 3 days a week for 4 hours a day. What about 2nd and 3rd shifts? What happens if someone has a break down? We have no access to phones or the internet. The schools can't reach you if there is an emergency. You couldn't possibly reach the police if needed and security is at a remote location at the entry way. They wouldn't hear anything if something happened. People are being packed in like sardines. Management talks big but does the exact opposite. This is the most soul destroying place I've ever worked and it could easily be so much better. Once their client finds out how they've been duped its going to fall apart.

Pros

Snacks at orientation were a plus

Cons

They lied. I went to a hiring event and got a job offer. We asked was there going to be a credit check and they told us no. Just the normal background check and drug test. So I was communicating them all the way up to January. I got a email today saying we are rescinding the job offer and it didn’t go in detail. So i emailed them and asked why are you all doing this a week before the job suppose to start. He said it was the credit check you didn’t pass. I emailed back and told him in the orientation you all said no they will not do a credit check( I didn’t want a hard inquiry on my report) So you all lied. If that was made known during the 4 hour process I would have left, I wouldn’t have took a day off of my current job to do a drug test, do my Onboarding paperwork etc. This was my blessing in disguise this wasn’t the job for me. I am so glad I kept my other full time job.

Pros

Bi-weekly pay, good benefits. But there are no amount of pros to compensate for how terrible a place Genpact is to work.

Cons

This is the most unorganized, chaotic and demoralizing company I've ever been exposed to. "Home grown" leadership team is inexperienced in their supposed areas of expertise. Indian dominant culture is harsh, rude and inefficient. Lying to employees is a common practice and the general mode of operation. There are so many non-ethical and HR (labor laws) violations it's ridiculous that this company hasn't been taken down. Hiring practices are illegal (they try to screen out certain races by researching candidates online before setting up interviews and they get away with it by calling it "hiring for diversity"). If you are considering working at Genpact, consider EVERY other option you have first, because 60% of what you are told during the interview/hiring process is a lie. If you have to take a job at Genpact try to get out as fast as possible. I read some of the company reviews on Glassdoor when I was considering taking a position at Genpact and I didn't give enough weight to what US based employees said. Reviews from employees in India could make you think that it's a good company with some disgruntled US employees. I can't speak for other US locations, but the Richardson, TX office is a horrible place to work and a large number of employees there are miserable, and it's because if the leadership team and the way employees are treated. Their systems and processes are so inefficient and backwards that it's not uncommon for employees to not get paid for time worked. Think hard before taking any position at Genpact.
